"Glow ribbon glow" 6"x6" oil on gessobord

Well as you know I have been painting orchids for over two weeks.   I was going to paint them until they died but I could not wait any longer they are taking too long.    The other day I painted a ribbon along with the orchid and someone asked me (and you know who you are) if I would do a painting of just ribbon.   So today I thought I would try it.  I love to do ribbon, how hard could it be!  Well I first cut three pieces of ribbon, mint green, copper and magenta and laid them all out, then rearranged them and rearranged them then eliminated one and rearranged them again!  After 45 minutes I settled on this ivory ribbon and took another 15 minutes to rearrange it!   Whew!   I did not think this would be so hard!   Any way here is my attempt today.

Again, Claudia, so beautiful! I love looking at this one ! It just simply "flows" over the canvas... -Sandy Haynes

Claudia,
This is lovely- looks like it just fell right there and you were lucky enough to paint it! Really pretty and those curls are fabulous!
